Raphinha produced another sensational performance as Barcelona came from behind to defeat Sevilla 3-1, extending their winning start to eight consecutive matches.

The Brazilian forward completed his second hat trick in just three days, following his three-goal display in Barcelona’s 7-2 victory over Racing Santander. His latest treble took his tally to 14 goals in all competitions this season.

Youssouf Fofana gave Sevilla an early lead in the 19th minute, but Barcelona responded almost immediately. Raphinha equalised just three minutes later before completing his hat trick with goals in the second half.

Sevilla Take the Lead

Sevilla began the match with confidence and created an early opening when Félix Correia delivered a dangerous cross. Barcelona midfielder Rodri made an important interception to prevent the opportunity from developing.

Barcelona then came close to taking the lead themselves. Lamine Yamal unleashed a powerful effort that goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos managed to push onto the post.

The visitors also appealed for a penalty after Pau Cubarsí went down following a challenge from Andrés Castrín, but the referee waved away the appeals.

Sevilla soon made their pressure count.

Correia drove forward down the left before delivering an excellent cross towards the near post. Fofana attacked the delivery and headed past the goalkeeper to put the hosts 1-0 ahead.

Raphinha Responds Immediately

Sevilla’s advantage lasted only three minutes.

Andreas Christensen played a perfectly weighted pass through the defence for Raphinha, who left Arouna Sangante on the ground before calmly firing a low effort into the corner.

The equaliser restored Barcelona’s momentum and brought Raphinha level with his second goal in as many minutes of play across the two sides’ exchanges.

Sevilla continued to cause problems with their pressing, however, and the game remained competitive.

Barcelona appealed for another penalty in the 35th minute when Yamal collided with Lucien Agoumé, but once again the officials decided there was no offence.

Pedri then missed an opportunity to give Barcelona the lead before half-time, sending his effort wide when well positioned.

Raphinha Completes His Hat Trick

Barcelona returned from the break looking more dangerous and quickly took control.

Seven minutes into the second half, Raphinha scored his second of the night.

Yamal collected a rebound and chipped the ball into the penalty area, where Raphinha met it with a header to put Barcelona 2-1 ahead.

The visitors suffered a setback shortly afterwards when Christensen was forced off with an injury, but Barcelona continued to create chances.

Raphinha came agonisingly close to completing his hat trick in the 64th minute when his effort struck the post.

However, he did not have to wait long.

Yamal Sets Up Raphinha Again

Five minutes after hitting the post, Raphinha finally completed his treble.

Rodri found Yamal’s run, and the youngster showed excellent awareness to slip the ball through to Raphinha.

The Brazilian then produced a composed clipped finish to make it 3-1.

It was another outstanding contribution from Yamal, who played a key role in two of Raphinha’s three goals.

Raphinha’s hat trick came only three days after his treble against Racing Santander, underlining his remarkable recent form.

Barcelona Hold On for Eight Straight Wins

Sevilla continued to compete despite falling two goals behind, but Barcelona were able to manage the remainder of the match.

Yamal was eventually replaced by Karim Adeyemi in the 77th minute, with Sevilla seemingly relieved to see the dangerous forward leave the pitch.

Adeyemi nearly added a fourth for Barcelona late on after breaking through on goal, but his effort went straight at the goalkeeper.

Barcelona ultimately secured a 3-1 victory, maintaining their perfect winning start and making it eight consecutive victories.

For Raphinha, the night provided another landmark performance. His two successive hat tricks have taken him to 14 goals across all competitions, establishing him as one of the defining figures of Barcelona’s outstanding start to the campaign.
